Austin Main Street Storefront Restoration

Location

Austin, MN

The Austin Main Street Redevelopment Authority was formed to restore numerous storefronts in downtown Austin, MN. Using funding from Mower County, City of Austin and the Hormel Foundation, this nonprofit organization was able to spruce up over half of the storefronts on Main Street over a 4-5 year period. One of the largest phases of this project was consolidating the restoration of 3 adjacent storefronts, totaling over 400 LF of exterior wall approximately 28 feet high. Joseph assisted in designing and building this restoration project that involved brick and stone restoration, new EIFS cornice moldings, fabric canopies, new aluminum entrances and exterior lighting. The before and after pictures of this restoration project are incredible, and have received much praise from all property owners and the City of Austin at large.
