The Good Samaritan Society believes in the “Continuum of Care” and hired The Joseph Company to lead the construction of a new 44,000 SF skilled nursing facility in Austin, MN. This was the first of three phases which included a
3-story independent living complex and an assisted living facility linked to the nursing home. The Comforcare project was started in the dead of winter and completed on schedule in 10 months. The facility is made up of three separate pods with fifteen resident rooms, kitchen, and clubhouse areas with a fireplace in each pod. Sprawling single-story design with full height windows provides an “at home” feel. One of the most satisfying rewards for any business is a repeat order, and Joseph followed up this project with an extensive remodel of their facility in Albert Lea, MN.
